beach week: castillo de san marcos

Thank goodness we were able to finally get away for a few days! The cabin fever was really starting to wear me down, and I was pining for a little breath of salty air. A little road trip took us to northeast Florida, with days spent in  Amelia Island and St. Augustine for an afternoon of sightseeing.

Here are a few shots of the Castillo de San Marcos - the only extant 17th century fort in North America.
